I am just tickled to find this site.Ever since the old H&R/NEF/Marlin site closed down I have had no place to discuss my favorite single shot rifles.
I am guessing that a lot of the old regulars from that site may have migrated here.Is there a "Big Mortie" in the house?

Hi Stan, Glad you finally found us. It's a great site and we have a great host. I think you will like it here just as well if not better than the old H&R site. Have a great day! - Brett

Hey Stan Welcome Aboard!
This is a better site in my estimation and nope, BM is history.

Hey Stan, Welcome.
BM hangs around some of the marlin sites. I still see the 30-06 referred to as the "Mortie Sporter"

Brett, thanks for the PM.You have return PM.
I am fully aware how many people got very irritated at Big Mortie. He has been banned from several forums I am told.I was just curious if he had made it here.A lot of forum members on the old NEF site considered him dusrupting. It was a different kind of humor I will have to admit.I was never sure exactly how to take it.I guess I get too focused on a forum sometime to want an injection of humor.

Stan, welcome to the forum. Glad to see you made it finally.
BM had already worn out his welcome here before we even arrived. Apparently he was warned, and warned, then warned some more.

Welcome Aboard Stan:
Yes ...a-lot of the old Nef-Marlin members call this forum home now. Mr. and Mrs.Greybeard welcomed us with open arms and have made us feel right at home here.BM isn't amongst us in his illiterate guise...he does show up from time to time..in another form..but he is soon discovered and is no-longer welcomed....There are a few simple rules to follow here...that make this forum the great place it is,We all try to help each other out as much as possible...and not get into the childish name calling and argueing that took place on the old site...that doesn't mean we have to agree with everything that is said...it just means we can act responsibly and discuss things in an adult manner without all the fighting and bickering...there is a wealth of information here on many topics...and the Handi's are but a small part of it... feel free to look around at all that is here and enjoy.......

Yes indeed, welcome Stan!
I think you'll find the majority of the disruptive influences have departed, with the able help of Graybeard! It makes it much easier to communicte with likeminded people without annoying posts from rude and crude individuals.
