I'd trade one of those little suckers for a full grown whitetail for the meat ANY day. They are good. I am headed up in late october to bowhunt the Sika rut. it is usually just before the whitetails rut up there, and I hope I am able to hit it. When the time comes closer, send me a PM. I have two guys going with me, but one may fall through. If he does, i will have an open portable.

I hunt ducks and geese on the Eastern Shore. Might get to shoot a few doves too if I can sneak away from work. Never hunted dorchester county but heard lots of scary storys about stray rounds tearing through the marsh grass. Might do a little deer hunting in kent county this year as well.

I'd much rather be remembered for being a great shot than having the most expensive gun

I've got some of the finest memories of all my life hunting in Queen Anne's County. I deer hunted an old 1,000 acre farm near Centerville off of Route 305 in my late teens. The geese flocks were in the thousands of birds too. Wow, what an experience that was. The Circus Inn made excelent meals and was a meeting place for many hunters. Those memories will be with me forever.

I have never hunted in Southern MD. I do most of my hunting in Alleganey county (green ridge) some in Garrett (deep creek) and I do go to dorchester county sometimes (pokomoke). Just about everywhere except southern MD. Don't really know why just don't know any places to go down there. I have never hunted sika deer.
This year I will be hunting on private land in dorchester county with my brother and I can't wait, it is some awsome land.

Hey, is anyone going to apply for the bear tag?
I heard they are starting the process today.
Something like $15.00 non refundable fee and they will pick 200 applicatins out for the tags.
I feel the people that live up there with the bears (Garrett- Allegany countys) should have first dibs so I'll leave my name out  --this year anyway.

Marylandeer,
I used to hunt in Dorchester too near a town called Princess Anne. There was a farmer on Old Post Rd. or Old Post Office Rd.....it's been since 1971 that I was there. It backed up to Pokomoke State Forest if I recall correctly. The squirrel hunting was fabulous.....could hunt the Gray's but not the Foxes. I loved everything about it but those damn drainage ditches.

I hunt near blackwater refuge in dorchester, near centerville in Queen Anne county, and Just outside of Barclay... just can't remember what county.

The family has property in Flintstone in western MD connected to Green Ridge state forest.

Lots of deer, and I only get to go back 4 times a year to hunt for 'em.

I have hunted eastern shore and western Maryland  both.
Ihave hunted private property and public land.  I know where
aspot is in Federick  Water Shed that we kill deer every year,
3 yrs ago we killed a 8 point Pie Bald deer. We also hunt the
eastern shore Kent ,Dorchert, and QueenAnns counties .
It's very hard to find private land to hunt any where in Maryland .
