I'm looking at a Win Model 70 made in the early 70s in 270 Win. and was wondering if anyone knew how these stacked up against other Model 70s as far as quality, periodic changes, etc. Gun is wood/blue of course and seems to be in great shape. I've heard that the Post-64s were not as good as the vaunted "pre-64" Winchesters but I am interested in shooting, not investing.
