Fellows,

What shotgun slug will penetrate the most?  I'm especially interested in the 20 gauge and sure the choices are far greater for the 12 ga.

Sir if penetration is what you are looking for The Brenneke 3inch mag 20 gauge is the best your gonna find, at least in 20 guage.  It fires a 1 oz slug.

Masterblaster1,

Thanks for your response.  My Remington mod. 1100 is the youth model and will not work with other than 2 3/4" shells.

I'll be testing penetration with water jugs lined-up in a row before too long.  With various rifles, too.

Any 20 ga. sabot?

Brenneke also makes that same 1 oz slug in 23/4 version that will function in your 1100. You can purchase them at www.outdoorsuperstore.com
