weatherby mark v or remington 700
« on: August 23, 2004, 10:07:03 AM »
I have a remington 700 bdl and a weatherby mark v 9 lug both incedently chambered in .270 winchester.  I am considering having a custom rifle built off one of them, but would need to sell one of the rifles to help fund the others transformation.  I am leaning toward selling the weatherby to sell at this point.  It is a matte blue finished rifle with highly figured wood and reminds me quite a bit of the finish on the nice little kimber rifles.  It has leupold dual dovetail mounts on it and a 6x burris signature scope on top.  Anyone interested in either rifle or with any advice please post a response or e-mail me at sheldonbenge@yahoo.com.

I would pick the Remington 700 to customize just for the fact that their is so much aftermarket stuff out their for this rifle.  I would hate for you to part with the Weatherby 270, it's a very nice rifle but I've been their, done that, so I know what you mean.

Question, what is your goal!  Accuracy, looks or what, that makes huge difference in why you want to go to this kind of expense.

What model Weatherby Mark V is your .270?  Also if you do decide to sell it drop me a PM.  Small groups and tight lines to you.  Lawdog

I would also choose the Remington 700 to customize...
