Grice's had a run of 7600's in a carbine version in 35 Rem, wood stock and blued finish. I believe 2 years ago, they made a carbine and full length rifle with a matte finish and synthetic stock. I bought one of last years carbines and all I can say is that it is awesome. If you watch gunbroker, auctionarms, or gunsamerica you might find one. They pop up every now and then. I feel that they are worth every penny. On the carbine version I got, the barrel thickness is thicker that a standard rifle. We found this out when we went to put on the barrel band for the sling. I ended up putting a sling for a Marlin 1895 on it. It looks pretty neat with half a barrel band on it. Accuracy on my rifle is awesome!!! My rifle preferred Remington 200 Corelokts. It is easy to carry and with a low power scope on it, mine wears a Leupold Vari X II 1-4*20, and it is more than enough scope. They are worth the money and if you find one, don't hesitate.
