The Ken Light set up is IHMSA legal.
What you most likely saw was the rule re-write proposal on the IHMSA site. don't confuse that with the offical rules. It is being put up on the IHMSA site so that the mistakes can be caught before it is published. You probably saw my comment that they got the feet size for the Air Pistol targets wrong and needed to correct that.
One of the problems we have is that new folks like yourself are just looking for simple easy to follow rules that they can understand from the start without having a lawyer interpret them. Hopefully this is part of what will come out of the re-write.
Whats important is you shoot chickens first and that you shoot left to right one shot per target. Beyond that the rest is small potatos :wink:
Go have some fun and don't worry over your set up too much. If you are a member they should have sent you a 2004 rulebook.
I was reading the International Handgun Metallic Silhouette Association's Rules and I was sure I read somthing in section III that said there was a specific scope height in Field Pistol. I reread the rules and now cannot find the specification. Seems I saw a 2004 Rulebook online now I can only find 2002. What is going on?
Can someone tell me what the height is and where it is printed.
I want to use Ken Light's Scope Base / Bomar Sight Rib, and want to know what the maximum height rings I can use.
