Took my 270 wsms to range
« on: August 02, 2004, 02:56:30 AM »
:D Have been shooting the winchester Coyote in 270 wsm. My son really liked the round and got him a browning eclipse m-1000 in 270 wsm. He is shooting the 140 gr accubonds and averaging about 1/2 inch 3 shot groups at 100 yds. I was using 140 gr fail safes and averaging about 3/4 inch. Both factory loads.
Plan to use these rifles for hunting this fall. Here in Texas hunting pretty much from blind only and extra weight of these rifles is actually an advantage.
Really like both rifles, seems the short mags are accurate.
Now to try and lighten trigger pull on browning.

Sounds like you have the right chemistry!  I have just started playing with the Accubonds (160 gn) for my Sako 7mm,  I have high hopes that it will be an accurate bonded bullet for my setup.
