Just a little note for anyone fishing canyons - be careful. Last Friday - I was fishing in the Snake River canyon. The canyon walls drop right off into the water. I heard something above me - looked up just in time to see rocks falling away from the wall. I will tell you right now - if your on your trolling motor you CAN NOT move away fast enough. To say the least filling your boat up with rocks and getting hit by them is not a fun thing to do. Other than my elbow being twice as big as it should be and scratches all down my arm - I came out fine. Will use the rocks in my drive way that ended up in the boat and thank goodness the large ones - I will call these boulders missed me and the boat. Now I have some small dents in my two week old boat - but all inside where the carpet is - so nothing showing up too bad. Just watch and listen to what's around you. I am sure glad I did not have a radio on - would not of heard anything at all. So be careful when fishing around canyon walls. They can be stinkers.
