Laminated VS. Mcmillan on Rem. Mountain rifle

I recently purchased a Mcmillan stock for a Rem. 7MM Mag. BDL and I like it so much that I am considering replacing the laminated stock on my Rem. 270 Mountain Rifle. Is this a good idea, or should I just be happy with the laminated stock? Your thoughts please. jcurrie

I think there may be a weight difference, with the Macmillan probably being lighter. But I'm just speculating. I'd say that if you like the Macmillan, go for it. I like the looks of the synthetic stocks more than I like the look of laminated.

If you go to McMillans website, you will see that they now offer a lighter weight stock. Should work well with the Mountain Rifle.
