The Real small frame Dan Wesson
« on: May 10, 2004, 02:00:45 PM »
I know the factory calls the 357 DW the small frame but I remember an even smaller framed Dan Wesson. Does anybody remember the little Dan Wesson 38 snubbie? In all the research I have done lately and all the auction and other sale siftes I have yet to see one of these mentioned(on information sites) or for sale! It seems most folks have forgotton about the smallest Dan wesson ever manufactured. So anybody besides me remember this little beauty? Just wondering?

You mean I am the only one who remembers reading about the J framed sized Dan Wesson 38? And has been kicking himself for not buying one when the getting was good. Neat little gun but no interchangeable barrel or nothing through

Well so far so good. I have been dryfiring it a lot and so far no problems but I am not sure if I can trust it yet. If I deside to send it to DW for their competion action job I will mention it to them I am also still considering getting a wolff spring kit someday. We will see

Not this gun but annewer model. It was made much later and was about the size of a J frame S&W nor the old model 14's but a newer model gun.

Your Right they are newer and the barrel is'nt removable and it's a bit smaller and has fixed sights,I've only seen one since I've been a DW Freak.
I'll keep lookin and find a pic to host here for other DW Freaks to SEE!
It's about the size of a Colt Detective Special or Ruger SP101..
A bit bigger than a J Frame Smith..

No thats just a 2.5 inch model 15, the small frame DW was J frames smith sized with I think a 5 shot cylinder and a 2" barrel. As far as i know they did'nt make many of them.
