Muzzle Break for Sako in 300 RUM
« on: May 17, 2004, 08:09:56 AM »
I need info on different muzzle breaks and the expense.
Web sites and phone numbers would be a great help.
I have a Sako 75 in 300 RUM and I want a break that will look like an extension of the barrel.
I do not want to cut the barrel length.
I would also like a warrantied job.
Any help or advice in recoil reduction on this firearm would be greatly appreciated.
I also plan on having this gun bedded and glass through the full length of the stock to protect it from warping or pressure changes.
I Plan on keeping it free floated from the Recoil lug area forward.

I can do the break for you and the recoil will end up about the same as a light load in a 3006, pluss you will have no muzzle jump at all. We can also handle the glass bedding job.    My brakes are not ported on the bottom so the blast when shooting is little worse then an un braked rifle.
muzzle brakes like you are talking about run 200.00 and the full bedding job 75.00 to 125.00 depending on what type of compound and if you want pillars or not.    If I can be of help give me a call at 207-938-3595 or Email at theworkshop@tds.net     If you live near by stop in at our shop and you can try out one of my brakes.    The rifle is chambered for the .366DGW which pushes a 300 grain bullet at over 2900 fps.    The rifle kicks about like a 300 Win mag off the bench and off hand recoil is way less and the cross hairs never leave the target.
There is no such thing as over kill!!!!  :-)
