Factory sight screws.
« on: April 02, 2004, 03:22:09 PM »
Well I have scoped my Encore, but I still want to put the factory rear sight on as back-ups in case.  The only problem is one of the screws that adjusts the elevation plate is all buggered up.  I was using a proper sized screw driver, but the screw head almost "melted" as I turned it.  The other side is fine, but this one is messed up.  The messed up screw had just barely been touching the bell of my scope, so I took it off.  Im figuring if I put a new screw on there I might be able to get the site back on there nice and not touching.  So this leads me to my question, what is the thread size for these screws?  I could probably guess by looking around at what they have at the Hardware store, but would save me a little time.  Thanks in advance.

I believe TC will replace it for free if you contact them about it.
