Trumps Golden Age
« on: October 16, 2025, 11:01:18 PM »
Unelected federal judges stopping presidential powers at every turn. Congress in a deadlock over funding medical care for illegal aliens. Assassination attempts, on the president, Supreme Court Justices, and other government officials. Assassinations of political activists, and CEOS.
Takeovers of city blocks surrounding government ICE facilities. Troops deployed to protect government law enforcement members. While same city police refuse to assist. Governors defying Constitutional laws and openly supporting, and encouraging lawlessness against law enforcement officers, and the law.
Cash bounties placed on law enforcement officers, and elected officials. New state laws encouraged by the federal government to crack down on licensing drivers, especially truckers, and older drivers.
Gold over 4 thousand an ounce indicating the dollar is going down. Marxists running, and winning in congress, and city, and state elections.
Our military blowing boats out of the water almost 3,000 miles from the Un-United States, while declaring war on Venezuela, without actually declaring war.
BUT! Trump has settled some 8 wars in other countries, and Israel. While conservative America believes that Trump is gonna save us all.

Anybody that thinks this country isn't in deep dodo, AIN'T PAYIN ATTENTION.

Yep, every morning with our daily cup of Joe, we , wife and me , talk about the very thing you brought up. This country is in a mess and heading to no where's land.  Amazing the hate and destruction the demoncrats have brought to this country.

It partially started with Clinton with the "free trade agreements".  Most started with Obama, and got worse under Biden.  Trump is trying to get industry to come back.  He also ultimately wants to use tariffs and get rid of income tax, starting with tax on tips, taxing retirees social security if they also use other retirement income like IRA's and 401k's.  Social security shouldn't be taxed at all period.

Using tariffs on imported goods eventually should help manufacturing come back to the US.  In 1960 35% of people worked in manufacturing.  By 1990 it was only about 20% due to robotics and more efficient manufacturing equipment.  The free trade agreements stripped about what 10-11% of the workforce of jobs that provided health care for families, thus leading to people without health insurance.  Home building kind of took manufacturing's jobs place, but it lead to too many people who didn't really qualify to buy homes that they abandoned eventually and caused the Great Recession of 2008.  Government tinkering with and not leaving people alone has caused 90% of the problems since 1960.

Welfare and food stamps of LBJ's Great Society plan caused a lot of "unwed" mothers getting handouts and helped lead to the destruction of the family.

I think everyone is pretty much aware of all that. But that isn't what I'm talking about.  I'm talking about what is going on now.
The country is split, killing your political opponents, or political, or religious, opposites is coming into vogue nation wide, and while everyone is aware of what Trump is trying to do, almost half of the country is doing everything they can to stop, or slow him down.
While people on Fox News, Newsmax, and the few other conservative news agencies are helping him toot his horn, in 3 years, Trump is finished.
DeSantis is the closest thing to Trump that might run when Trumps term is over, and I don't see a Trump endorsement for him.

Some superficial things will change. Illegals being deported, maybe energy, and food costs will come down, maybe the stock market will climb. Maybe some political criminals will see jail time, which is yet to be seen. But will the spending stop? Will the indoctrination in our schools stop? Will the deep state be removed, instead of just shuffling the deck? Will the hate for America stop? Will our government and its many branches stop lying to us? Will politicians actually start working for Americans? Will America be first, and stop sending billions to other nations? I think the answer to those questions is a big fat no.   As far as the mess this country is in the republicans are much to blame for it also. For decades the republicans say what they need to say to get elected. Then do nothing when in office, and many times vote with democrats.

Agreed. Yesterday Linda's prescription policy notified us that they would no longer cover one of her inhalers. An inhaler that costs $800.00 a month.
I got a notice from the Texas Department of Public Safety that I could no longer renew my drivers license on line due to my age. Since 1966, I've had 2 accidents, one in 1966, and one in 1975. Neither was my fault. I've had 1 speeding ticket about 7 years ago coming into a small town noted for their radar antics, for 45mph coming into a 35mph.
Now I have to test again to renew my license.

Groceries haven't gotten cheaper, gas has improved, but folks are still getting twisted in other ways.

Agree about the groceries,  also about everything else you brought up. Like I said I think we're headed for no where's land and it's coming quick.

I on the other hand have found at least the groceries I buy to have stabilized and only eggs and fuel going down. Beef is up, maybe someone in that industry knows why? I believe many companies and stores are anti Trump and keeping prices high and raising them for that reason. I have to wonder what our prices would be if the harries kamel were at the helm and not just in the cost of commodities.

Beef is up because of the screw worm epidemic in Mexico. The beef you've been buying in grocery stores that says USA, isn't. It was processed in the USA, but it was bought mostly in Mexico. Because we beef growers in the US have been taking a price beating supply here is down, causing prices to go up. I got almost $5.00 a pound live weight this year for the first time ever, and they're saying it will go up more. As a beef grower I hope it does. I operated this year finishing in the black.

I read terms at stores like, burger blend, refreshed and ground daily to find out it’s just re ground, etc. I’m glad your getting more for your beef.

Thanks, "almost" $5.00 is the key.

One of the best ways to fight the system is to grow your own food as much as possible.  Prep, Store food, like canned and dry goods, and soaps and detergents can be stored for years.  Buy cheap and on sale in bulk and store.  Only buy what you actually eat.  Most canned goods can last 2 years.  Get a freezer for meats and a generator.  Vacuum seal everything possible.  It lasts far longer on the shelf and in the freezer.  Buy good long lasting clothing also.  All this can get you through high inflation times.

Hunt and fish as much as possible for meats.  Lots of work, but fun work.  Gardens can be very hot in the south in summer, but go out early to pick or weed before it gets too hot.

Agreed. Yesterday Linda's prescription policy notified us that they would no longer cover one of her inhalers. An inhaler that costs $800.00 a month.

Dee,
Check with the manufacturer to see if they have an assistance program.  My wife used to get a years supply of inhalers for free from the manufacturer.  These are insurance and income based, but worth a try.

Never thought of that. I'll check that out thanks.

Just got off the phone with Advocate for Meds through the inhaler maker. $49.00 a month if approved. Will know in 2 weeks. Once again, thanks
