Trump Orders Takeover of DC Police

Yep, the DC police is now under the control of the Federal Government, and the National Guard is being deployed into DC to assist law enforcement.
In other words, Trump has "Federalized" the DC police.
Trumps reasoning is to bring crime under control. The DC police chief didn't seem to be too upset. 

Is this "Martial Law"? Kinda looks like it.

One should be careful with what one wishes for.

I think this move makes me not nervous, but guarded by its nature. I'm to understand that this is legal because DC isn't a state. Troops standing  on corners.

I see the talking heads are trying to get the masses riled up about it, but if you actually look at the stats they're throwing out, you'll realize they're only providing best-case numbers, and only in DC.  They are NOT comparing DC to the average across the nation.

Heard a blurb on WHO talk radio this evening, and DC's murder rate alone ranks far and above many large cities of foreign countries.

Agreed, but if this move to federalize DCs police department stays in place and a Democrat wins in the next presidential election everyone had better hang on.

 Not sure if I go along with this either. But if you do some checking, DC., LA., Chicago and a couple others all say the same thing, crime is down. But with all the lying the the city politicians have been caught it, seems the numbers have been ''realigned'' to make things look better than they are. How many police departments are under staffed and the court system has a catch and release system that Bill Dance would be proud of. I just wonder, if they actually do start rounding up all the criminals, and the street homeless people, where are they going to put them all? They can stack the crooks 20 to a cell for all  I care about them. Maybe they could put the homeless in all the houses going up for sale in northern Va. that former government employees are trying to sell.

  Clearly..if any state, say Pennsylvania, had a town ...e.g. Pittsburg, that was becoming completely lawless..  The people could/would appeal to the state government in    Harrisburg, the state capital and the seat of government.

  The state would first direct law enforcement in Pittsburg, to get their house in order.  If they fail to do the job, in comes the state troopers !

   The District of Columbia was not formed as a state, reason being that the US capital would not be subject to any single state.

  If the city fails to do the job, by the same token...in come the federal troops !   It seems Bowser and her city have already been told...many times..

Head scratching here.  I watched a televised interview yesterday afternoon of the DC Chief of Police who, when asked, responded that the Feds were there to ASSIST the DC Metro Police, who were in charge.

The DC chief didn't seem to know her butt from a gopher hole, she didn't know what the term "chain of command" was referring to. Her degrees are in education, and her career has been assignments in equity functions. Diversion programs for criminal youth have consisted of yoga, art classes, and group field trips. Not dealing with crime at all.

I say, "Fix your stuff, or we will fix it for you."  Relinquishing control of our Nation's capitol to local government was a mistake to start with.

  I think one of Trumps problems, he can't articulate his thoughts very well. Could be that East coast mentality coming thru. we all know dc isnt a state so has no"states Rights". so its always been at the wim of the federal government and today Trump IS the federal government. they have no state national guard because THEYRE NOT A STATE. they have the federal national guard and thats whats being used. only thing thats really riling the residenses there is theyre majority far left and now trump is in charge. if obama would have done this they would have hailed him as a hero. next election? who cares. what trump does wont change a thing. if the left wins no matter what he does crap will hit the fan and they will implement full on socialism. shiff shumer aoc and that wacko from ny are proof positive of that!! trump if the left wins will be in prison within a year on some fabricated crimes they have made an art out of creating. maybe martial law for a year or so isnt a bad idea. we could lock up some of those "untouchable" criminal leftist that today laugh at the republican investigations because they know they cant be touched. martial law?? no different than what we will see if a leftist gets elected and we loose both houses. within a year they will pack the supreme court so they can do anything they want and before the next election illegals will have the right to vote and they will rewrite the voting district maps in every state and will rule like kings until china takes over. id welcome martial law here in MI!! what do you think id prefer.
