had 2 complete stereo systems i bought in the mid and late 70s. gave them both to my little sister along with about 300 albums. she asked me the other day if she could sell the cheaper one that i had about a grand into back then. marantz 150 watt per channel receiver a Thornes turntable and bose 901 speakers. she said she was offered 8500 bucks for it!! she said they were getting a new truck and the money would be a down payment. told her to go for it! i had about twice that into the other one and i cant imagine what thats worth. she told me a number of my albums are worth north of 500 bucks today! she said the rest of the stuff would never be sold and handed down to her kids. i told her she should peddle it all and buy the truck because her kids wont appreciate it and will just sell it and buy something stupid. she adamantly refused. i told her shes nuts!

Ain't it crazy?  Specialty interest in vinyl again, tube-type amps and stereos, and those folks are willing to climb a ladder to pay for it.
