Rechargeable cr123 lithium batteries

Anyone use rechargeable’s for your carry or shotgun mounted light. I’m considering going to rechargeable’s and from past experience some are good and some aren’t.

I have a Stream Light on my Sig Tread and have stayed away from alkaline, and rechargeable batteries. The light isn't turned on very often, and the shelf life on lithium batteries is something like a decade, plus they don't leak. Anything of value that runs on batteries at my house gets lithium batteries, but that's just an opinion from an old man.

I have a handheld flashlight, actually a few and run lithium 123’s. I at times will use it for coming out of woods at night sparingly and around the house. I’ve seen some rechargeable lithium’s and thought someone might have already done the dirty work of finding out which ones are decent.

Likewise I have a stream light on my in home shotgun. Very bright, not turned on very often. It just works, and see no reason to go to a rechargeable. From what Ive seen in rechargeable flashlights they always need charged when you need it.

Plus ONE on that. Although they don't likely need it, I change the 123 batteries in my Stream Light and the AAs in my EOTECH every 10 to 12 months.
