What version was used, and why did you object?

  Lloyd, consider this..   Those people arrived, and are standing under a bridge..  That Baptist Church had no part in bringing them here, but here
    they are, hungry...because a Biden administration decided they can bring them in and dump them upon the rest of us, some sick, some having
     been raped or otherwise exploited and almost all quite hungry..

   Keep this in mind, from Matthew 25...

  " 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."

From Dee;

  "
True. Also, they are not receiving millions of taxpayer dollars in federal contracts, nor are they smuggling, or transporting illegals to anywhere.

But then again, this thread isn't about the border, is it."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
   True, but we often stray.. in any case, I hope you have found a church where you can feel "at home" and have good fellowship.. while continuing to
    study the word.
point was that someone holier then thou criticized one church for help immigrants when in fact they are about all doing it. personally im against it but have to wonder what Jesus would say. He said we have to help all people. not just those on one side of a border. Maybe someday we will have to answer for some of the posts here, mine included. seems we all claim to be Christain but sure do a crap job of following the teaching ojf Jesus. we go to church read and some even quote scriptures but when it affects our material world we stick it in a drawer.  can you claim to believe in Jesus Christ but only the parts you like?
  Nobody says it is EASY to live up to our Christian duties...but trying is what it is all about. I am sure that some of the complaints
  directed at illegals, is out of frustration witrh a turncoat administration in Washington.
  Still; there are those who are coming in who are dangerous to our country, so how do we do the "weeding out" that the Bidenites refuse to do?
  We can't correct such huge errors committed by a rouge government.  ..But one thing churches can do to mitigate the situation...is to evangelize (convert) those illegals to true Christian faith.  Then teach them just how
   anti-God the commies are..  Of course, some of them already know how brutal the commies can be..and they can do some teaching themselves.
  ..Buthere we go, straying away from the OP...
  Lloyd..they are here, sure it would be nice if we could deport them back..but that isn't going to happen.  If you recall Pres Reagan tried to deal withn
   the Democrats concerning the illegals alread here.
  The deal was Reagan would acdept them...but no more coming in. Pres Reagan stuck to his word..but look how well the Dems stiuck to their promises.  So we still have the originals from the 1980s.. plus millions more.
  Suire there are some baddies and parasites among them...but many ARE looking for opportunity.  Using logic..knowing they will be staying, the best we can do is help the reasonable ones to assimilate, and win them over to our way of thinking.  We must be realistic..
 Today, many of those who were here in the 1980s, seeking to stay ..are coming around to our side.  Continuing to treat them as "enemy", won't win them over.
  Right now, the Bible believing churches are preaching patriotism and the values of hard work and morality..it wouldn't hurt to help instill those values.  Either do that , or let them become a new criminal class.
Illegals are a mission field.  If we don't go to their countries, God allowed them to come here.  Yes, some are drug runners, human traffic runners, criminals trying to escape justice in their own countries.  Some are trying to escape Venezuela or El Salvador which have extreme socialist governments.  Unless Trump gets re-elected and he has a conservative Senate and House, this is going to keep happening.  Getting them saved is top priority.  That way they can understand the truth and not eventually vote in a socialist government that they fled from.  Feeding them, clothing them, all the while telling them the Gospel and getting them to pray can change the Democrat NAZI's from taking over.  I am going to call Democrats NAZI's because kids today think socialism is a good thing.  Socialism leads to Facism and a dictator and one party rule.  So, they are NAZI's.  They hate being called that, more than you know.
Also, Not to dis on Roman Catholics, but I have visited Catholic churches that family members belonged to.  They repeat the scriptures (in English now, not Latin), pray, etc, but no real deep teaching or preaching of repentance and salvation.  I can see how Catholic countries tend to be socialist.  Instead of individual responsibility, and individual churches and people doing good, they tend to pawn off welfare of the people to the government, not themselves, thus leading to socialist governments.
Anyway, evangelicals should get off their cans and preach the gospel, witness, feed and help them.  When they get saved it might even turn America around and back to a moral and ethical nation.  All is not lost.  We have a lot of lemons coming across the border, lets make lemonade with them.
I have read the Living Bible, King James, NIV, and have settled myself on the New King James.  It says the same, but uses you and yours instead of thee and thou.  The one scripture that I studed that says for Wives to OBEY their Husbands, and Husbands to LOVE their wives.  The Greek word for Obey should have been translated RESPECT.  Men need Respect, not just from their wives, but their children, family, and in the work place.  Women need love more.  This what Paul wrote.  Men are to be leaders and the head of their households, so they need to be respected.  Men can make mistakes, but loving their wives, the wives will tell them when they see a mistake, but tell them with respect, not in your face type of response.  Men loving their wives, not yelling at them telling them what to do.  It works both ways.  Ok, off my soap box.
