Getting Ready to Have Some Rimfire Fun!
« on: March 13, 2004, 04:03:35 AM »
Well, I'm in the process of going through a 1975, Glenfield Marlin that I picked up really cheap.  Last night, I recrowned the muzzle, and tomorrow I am going to start refinishing the stock.  Today, I am going to take the barrel and receiver to work with me and reblue the muzzle and paint the receiver to make it look new again. Then I'm going to glass bed the stock and she oughta be a semi-auto tack driver! Yeeeehaaaa.  I'll be letting ya'll know how she shoots in a couple weeks.

Ill be watching for your success story. I have two 70s vintage glenfields. they have been great guns.I still have my first 22, a glenfield bought new in 76. it was never a tack driver, but capable of making a can dance.

Well, the barreled action is now finished! Now I'm doing fun part.  I've been stripping the old finish off the wood, and I'll probably start sanding today or tonight.  I love these little projects.
