Well, I reckon you might be right Dee, but perhaps so am I.
At the beginning of Leviticus 20, in 20:1 it is mentioned about those who worship Molek shall be put to death by stoning, and then the rest of the verses afterwards say , "put to death".
Thus, I reckon it would be by stoning that the other sins would be dealt with in putting them to death.
With no other mention in "that" Holy Bible book, it would seem likely that "stoning" was the method intended for folks to be put to death.

But, then that is not , "verbatim", but by just carrying on from before further down into that chapter.
So, it could be some other method, for sure, but it could also be by stoning.

Don't reckon it is worth debating/arguing over though.
Does  it really matter now? Not much to me anyway. I don't care unless such things affect me personally in my life & right now I don't have anyone causing me issues like these weird folk who don't know what sex they are.

I am not a religious scholar. Just an average guy who believes in Christ, and occasionally reads thru the Holy Bible. ( I should read it more I reckon.)
I tend to lean towards the New Testament over the Old one as it is the "New" one & should be considered to have established itself over the "Old", as what should be followed now.

Anyway, That is about all I have to say right now about such things.
I try not to dwell on the crap some folks that do, or condone abnormal things unless it affects me directly, & some weird person that doesn't know the difference in what "gear" a person has, or what They have, and all that crap can think that way all they like. I don't care much about it since they aren't affecting me with their crap..

Indeed. The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed, while the New Testament, is the Old Testament revealed.
If isn't an argumentative issue, but more a speculative issue.

I have a book called "Customs and Manners of the Old Testament".  In this book and other history books, the OT books, scrolls, and writings of the times of the Old Testament stoning was mentioned as the capital punishment.  All information is not in the Bible, but also in archeology.  During war, a spear or sword was used, but in peacetime, stoning was used.  Stoning was continued until the person was covered and weighed down so they couldn't breathe and left.  All other crimes, such as stealing, the person had their ear notched in the OT, and they became a slave of the person they stole from for a length of time depending on the value of the crime.  Muslims cut off a hand.  There were no jails in the OT among the Hebrew tribes of Israel or Judah.  People who committed crimes were brought before the city elders immediately and sentenced.

The main reason sexual sin was punished is because the union of a man and woman was symbolic of the union God wanted between Himself and mankind.  Anything other than union between a man and woman was an abomination or sin.  This is also mention in the New Testament as the union between Christ and the church (believers, not a particular denomination).  Gays, adulterers, whores and whoremongers and such, are to be put out of the Church and not return until they repent.  Most of the time today, they are quietly told to leave the church.  I think it should be public, at least to the church members locally.  The Amish and Holiness churches practice this "shunning".  Good idea, keeps sin in check.

Rome started the jails in which their criminals had to go before the governor of the province.  Thus jails awaiting trial.  Some of their criminals were made into slaves and worked on slave ships, or mines until death.  Capital punishment was to be crucified.
