...Now, for "the rest of the story".
The Chautauqua Institution was apparently told to provide security..but according to some, failed to do so.
It is alleged that they felt it unnecessary, since their gated community has been so "peaceful" since it's establishment, in 1874..
One has to understand the "Chautauqua"! I live about 60 miles from it, and often accompany my son on his real estate photography assignments there. It is located on the western end of Lake Chautauqua.
The auditorium where he was likely stabbed, is located at the foot of the bell tower, shown in the video.
"The Chautauqua", is a haven for the super rich, where they can associate with primarily, "their own kind".
There are some very large baroque residences there, but since it is a relatively old institution, many of it's
older cottages, look like regular city homes from the turn of the last century, but impeccably maintained and decorated.
Almost none selling for less than a million bucks...many for much more.
At the Chautauqua, the super rich cavort together..sharing lectures, yoga, silly games and other diversions of the "arts and croissants" crowd. Here's a 3 min video of the place.
