The Bush family amassed a great fortune, the same as "many others" would do if given the chance.

But the most important question is, what are we goody, goody folks doing for our neighbors, for the children at St. Judes, or the Shriners, for the people in Ukraine, for the homeless guy asking for money.  Offer to get them some food if you don't want to give cash.
We spend too much time pointing our fingers (a good example when I was ugly to Lloyd, I then apologized) at other people and I think it may be jealousy because they are rich and we are not.
I am rich BTW, I plan to retire where the streets are paved with gold.   That probably will piss off some folks who'll call me Mr. goody two-shoes, but, we all have the same opportunity to retire there if we follow HIS teaching.
Well, just keep up with the good deeds... while you do that maybe read what your god thinks about them... From memory, “your good deeds are as filthy rags in my sight” a definition of a filthy rag was a leper’s pus filled rags.

From what I’ve read McCain was a turncoat in the concentration camp... been awhile since I’ve read this. I don’t have to agree with any here as I have my own opinions and ideas. Sorry if I’m not looking for “friends”...

Just because their a military man, doesn't necessarily mean their good

Good moral character, should always be the measuring stick, not vocation.

This link is documented proof of such, and our country has elected some "real ringers" using the military measuring stick, and the country has paid in blood, and rights.

George Herbert Walker Bush was much deeper than "just a bad president". His and his WWII accomplishments were no greater than any other combat pilot of that time. He was no brave than other pilots or soldiers in that conflict and got more recognition than they only because of his political status.
In his later career he was a ruthless demon of a neoconic, NWO, POS.

His accomplishments after WWII are a portrait of the real George Herbert Wallker Bush. And he was a ruthless POS for decades, responsible for thousands of deaths, and human suffering.

Those that spend their money to buy their way into Heaven are doing it upside down.
When I became a CHRISTIAN I couldn’t wait to get busy doing GOD’s work.

And, I try to remember Revelation 3:16     Ya oughta read it. :)

   Mule;

What do you mean by "your god"?   From previous posts I am quite assured both Bug and I worship the same God.
So, since you seem to indicate that you have a different god..how about you tell us about that god?

You seem to have a problem with the full meaning of  "grace"..  Th verse about "filthy rags" (Isa 64:6) is for the one who tries to reach God, sans grace.
Check (EPH 2:8,9) ...For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man shall boast.

Bug knows that full well, he also knows that if  one is saved, the good works will follow..

Now..How about you tell us about your god ?

Romney? Come on man. Paid off turd. What a worthless pos. Sorry if I’m not agreeing with all of some of your bull squat. I think for myself

Sure is funny, how you alone bring up McCain, Kerry and Romney..in reply #8

Then for 3 posts in a row (posts #25, 26 & 27), proceed to try to destroy their already bad reputations..

Isn't that what is called, "setting up a straw man"?

Hey Mule, look back through your past posts upon this subject.  We can see much accusations and shouting, but very little intellectualism, date or genuine searching for verifiable truths.

You claimed you learned from the video, that the Imperial Japanese military, were often brutal to their captives..a fact that has been open information since the 1940s.

Since you did take the time to view the video, perhaps you also noticed that ensign Bush flew to the target at a relatively high altitude, when over the target he started his dive..
At 8,000 ft the extremely heavy AA guns were all aimed at his aircraft and firing.  He could have dopped his bomb at that point or soon after.
Instead, he held his dive to below 3.000 ft..barely enough room to pull out, before loosing his bombs.

Are you denying that was courageous?

Please also note..the video did not even mention his father, or what his net worth totaled.

The video did not mention the family at all, it was you guys in your hatred, that went off on a an unrelated tangent !

Below...youngest pilot in the Navy, at the time of his near fatal experience.

Sorry we can't all be poor, humble, flawless and the epitome of perfection from day #1, ...and all through our life!
....But now, come to think of it, so far as I know, only one living man in all history managed that kind of life

That Bush was rescued by a submarine is likely true. Everything else before and after that, is "according to George ".

GHWB IMO was not a good president.
GHWB was a brave young man who strapped in to a dive bomber and fought a deadly enemy and almost paid the ultimate price.     But he was willing.

IMO anyone who won’t give him credit for that, is too chicken to do it themselves. :)

GHWB's harrowing tail of combat is according to GHWB. Not to say that he wasn't in a combat environment, as he obviously was, but the details are according to Bush. He made a career of lying and deception with the CIA, nation building, and undermining our Constitution all the while getting Americans killed, and thousands of foriegn citizens.

As for the chicken issue, whats good for the goose, is good for the gander. So I guess anyone who never put on a military, police, or fire department uniform is, or was too chicken to do it themselves, and was willing to let someone else do the heavy lifting while they took the safer option.

We have seen down thru the years the number one way to climb the ladder in politics is to wear the title of war hero . Or  be a family member of said hero .

Actually my sarcasm was not directed at you, and it was sarcasm, you took it upon yourself to insult me, which is fine. Butt I believe that turnabout is fair play.

I know of Asian and islander brutality, I had not heard of the Japs eating their prisoners. Courageous? Probably so in that instance but whether he had a choice or not I don’t know.

So did one of my uncles for 30 years. I have a grandson stationed at I believe "Luke Air Force Base" in Arizona.
