New life
« on: April 10, 2022, 05:12:13 PM »
My wife and I spent our 46th in Ocala Fl. Touring some horse farms and at a Gypsy Vanner farm I got tired of the owner’s boring lecture and took my bag of carrots and wandered off.
As I was feeding a mule I saw the Vet drive in and a farm hand was leading a mare and foal behind the barn so I went back there to check it out.
The Vet allowed me to get up close and he put his hand in her with a syringe full of a clear liquid and held a Petri dish up to her and washed a tiny embryo into the dish.
He then used a glass tube and sucked the embryo into it, capped both end and held it up to my nose.
It was pink and half the size of a grain of rice.
It was on its back and you could see all four legs and a neck or head.
The mare had been bred 7 days earlier.  The Vet said it doesn’t attach for about 3 weeks.
He collected the embryo to impregnate a different mare.

IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING THING I HAD EVER SEEN.
One of GOD’s miracles.

That would be interesting.

So, even a vet can have more consideration than some "doctors" who serve humans..

You make a very good point.
Nobody would think of killing the foal in the womb, or the calf in the womb, and in most states it's ILLEGAL to kill wild animals with viable young in the womb.
But we murder human babies from conception to after it's born.   GOD will burn some folks.

Excuse me for being cynical but there are dollars to be made from transplanting the horse embryo just as there are from murdering human babies. Money talks and always has. Neither procedure would be done with no money incentive.

I wouldn't call that cynical, it's the truth.    Money is more important than human life.

That’s the second time I’ve been near you in the last 3 years. :)

We stayed at a cabin on lake Hernando.
