we had ma's funeral yesterday
« on: March 23, 2022, 10:03:34 PM »
First time ive ever seen a priest break down and cry at a funeral. He was very close to ma and dad and for 10 years ate friday night supper every week at there home. The priest read a letter my sister found in her bible 3 months ago when dad passed about how her and dad had there share of bad times and rough stretches in there relationship but they trusted in God and the vows they made on there wedding day to get them through it and if she could turn back time she wouldnt change a thing. i think everyone in the church had tears. They were about polar opposites. But were also the loves of there lives and certainly best friends.

Same with my mother and dad.
She loved gospel music, and church socials, while dad was stoic and would sit back and watch, speaking only when spoken to, and thought all preachers should have a job outside the church.

Funerals are hard for families.
Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. Weak men create hard times.
