How expensive home insurance is now. It's about doubled from what it was last year. Put into your escrow account it can raise your mortgage payment up by about two hundred to three hundred dollars.

It must be the area in which you live. I just bought another years worth for my house and it went up about 2% over last years premium.

I sold out and moved to a more rural part of west Texas, and because of the community having a voluntary fire department my insurance almost doubled.

  Very likely, since infltion has hit the building supply business..just like every other business, the insuror has had to reconfigure rebuilding costs.

Insurance co dropped me about 10 years ago. Sent me a letter with all the things I had to do for THEM to continue paying for something I’ve never needed. I think I’ll send em a thank you card for all the extra money I have not paid them thieves...

Ours is a city fire dept except it's a small sub station on the outskirts of town. They mentioned something having to do with the distance my home is from it. That was a new one on me. I switched to a better company who wasn't doing that.

with an inspection, but they needed to
let me know if somebody would be

Just me,  but I think that's the ultimate

    I got a letter a few months back stating State Farm is sending a inspector  out to my home ,  Just got a letter last week with a list of  honey do s   to be done by a certain date or they will cancel my policy .
