Shocking: Feds seize 1000 safe deposit boxes...
« on: April 16, 2021, 01:19:23 PM »
....in California on a single sealed warrant.
This is what happened when communist took over Russia in 1918, and again in Cuba and Venezuela.

This California seizures looking alot like a planned 'civil asset forfeiture' scheme. LoL.

Do you have a safe deposit box? Might want to rethink that.

"Do you have a safe deposit box? Might want to rethink that."

Especially IF it is at a private "anonymous safe deposit boxes" company; rather than a Bank...

From the LA Times:

"In court papers filed last week, Assistant U.S. Atty. Andrew Brown said agents “seized the nests of safety deposit boxes because there was overwhelming evidence” that U.S. Private Vaults “was a criminal business.” The company’s promise of anonymity attracted criminals looking to safeguard cash, he said. Brown acknowledged some customers were “honest citizens” who should get their things back."

Besides the store sign says "Insured Safe Deposit Boxes", just file a claim.

Bank boxes don't have contraband? Banks aren't private institutions?

My bank told me documents, collectables, and jewelry welcome  _ _ bullion and large cash stash not welcome.

I  suppose in the times we're living in The Authorities can do whatever they want, and you can go smoke rope...
