Picked up this nice 1972 model in 25/06 last year. I swapped out the standard (medium) Leupold rings for low Leupold rings. Swapped out the old Weaver Marksman scope for a Leupold VX2 3-9x40.

I've owned 4 of those Model 77s in 2506, and 3 in 22250 back in the 70s. They all would shoot. Great rifles back then.

So nice to see gloss blue and nice wood these days. Beautiful rifle  8)
