"Unpresedented" winter storm hits Texas
« on: February 15, 2021, 03:34:06 AM »
Really? My dictionary gives the meaning of unprecedented as "unknown, or never done before" . Yes, Texas is having a rather nasty, cold, winter storm right now but it's not anything that hasn't happened before and it will happen again. I love the way news puts these weather stories out like it's the worst thing that has ever happened in history be it blizzard, hurricain, tornado, or what have you. "Unprecedented' compares with the "insurrection" we had in Washington. Neither description fits the event.

The news media has to try and get their viewership up anyway they can. Its quite amazing how much they can talk about a 2 inch snowfall.
