A quiet question.. Our US constitution was written by our God-gifted founding fathers, to outline the differences between the United states, and all regimes around the world, which preceded it . The constitution explained the nature of the young, vibrant nation. ..But these same gifted people, soon realized that an addition was needed to guarantee the individual's rights, so James Madison penned our Bill of Rights.. Keeping this in mind, let us picture the persons, party or team we may be voting for, and ask ourselves a few questions, which bear upon these individual rights. 1) When was the last time you heard your team speak of individual rights, as opposed to some kind of 'group rights' ? 2) When was the last time your team spoke up for normal, freedom of speech, as opposed to politically correct speech or hate speech? 3) Right to 'peaceably assemble', is a 1st amendment principle, but When was the last time your team enforced the law, when gangs failed to keep it 'peaceable'? 4) The 1st amendment provides for an individual's 'freedom of religion', has your team worked diligently to preserve this right? 5) the 2nd amendment guarantees that the right of the individual to "keep and bear arms", shall not be INFRINGED. Has your team been careful to preserve this right?
6) That same constitution also guarantees, "life , liberty and the pursuit of happiness". Has your team worked diligently to protect lives, and preserve individual iberties? I only ask these questions as a way to reflect upon political stability or the tendency to drift. Let us keep in mind that in our constitution and national fiber promises only equal opportunity , and not equal outcome. If we drift from the constitution, and start reacting to every "group" motive, we will break down into nothing more than a gathering of competing 'tribes', rather than a united nation. The notion of competing 'tribes' rather than national unity would have catastrophic results ! We should learn from history..how the many once powerful cultures went down into obscurity, because they lost their unity.. or rather, threw it away.. Then there is the example of the dis-united tribes that once inhabited this great nation.. just as Hiawatha tried to warn them..
