I have a laminate forend on order to go with my barrel they are making. I have heard nothing but good about there products and a 16 week wait for just a forend speaks for itself.

Yep!  I had them make me a special forearm and stock for my contender. The forearm is 12" long 2 1/4 wide with finger groves and the hanger-bar system for a 22" bull barrel. The stock has 14 3/4 pull.  Both are made out of Black Walnut wood and finnished by VVCG. It was a little pricey and the wait was long, but it is well worth it.  I use this out fit for benchrest shooting not a walk about gun.

hope this helps ya out

I am not saying anything bad about VVG because I have heard nothing but good things about them.  However a 16 week wait for a forend does not impress me and it does not mean that they are great just because of the wait.  It could just mean that they need to hire more people to make their great products or need to improve their manufacturing methods.

I also think that the custom companies want a long wait.  It is part of the intrigue around owning their custom stuff.  After all SSK does not have waits like this on their barrels and they are as good as the other two.

v v kevlar

I have a V V Kevlar stock and 2 forends on order .   209x50 and 12 gauge slug . The finish is Granite color.  Wait is 16 weeks.

They explained to me that they don't make the stock, only finish it and inlet them to customer specs.  They say the vendor is the reason for the wait.

Cost was astronomical but it is a very unique item and I feel worth the cost.  Kevlar is advertised as 1/3rd lighter than synthetic.
