Re Back Hoe
I don't have one of those however watching them or an excavator work, I'm inclined to think the latter is even more useful.
They are fully tracked and I've seen them in very small versions.

Yeah; that's the word; Tinkering !   Since the Starlings began to invade my Purple Martin Boxes this spring, I decided to do some tinkering with them.  Yeah; I award them by attaching a Lead Commendation medal on their chests.  I've already given out 14 awards.  8)

It usually takes two backhoes to do any digging in my country although there are places where one can get by. One with an air hammer in place of a bucket to bust up things and one with a bucket to clean out after the hammer works awhile.

Anna is OK with just one as she lives where there is dirt.
