Paul Mauser. vs. DWM MAUSER
« on: April 28, 2013, 02:46:59 PM »
I watching you tube tales of the gun and watching the mauser story i realized stupid me that Paul Mauser had sold out to DWM who also built mausers too. I think this is why the south american DWM built mausers look so much better in quality wise over the Paul Mauser built mausers. Any thoughts??

Paul Mauser and the Württemberg Vereinsbank sold their shares to Ludwig Lowe & Company a few years after Wilhelm Mausers death. Paul stayed on with them as technical leader. DWM was later formed in a merger between Ludwig Lowe and three other companies. So DWM were never really ever a competitor as such.

I have some DWM south american mausers that look great and they show the awesome quality and workmanship. The loewe manufactured mausers seem to be the same higher quality.

Since the companies merged didn't DWM take some of the contracts from the other partners?
