Heard a report this morning from the UN of all places that India has more cell phones than toilets. Why that is important to the UN is odd.  I do find it interesting that India's hytech world has surpassed their basic human needs infrastructure.   
 
Do they still worship cows there and is there mickey D's there yet and I guess the big question is where is da Beef?

That was my first thought when i heard it on the radio.

Their deal with the cows is that they believe that those cows are the renincarnated souls of deceased
loved ones . Pretty screwy huh ?  Oh well it isn't as bad as some African cultures that feed the body's
of the deceased to dogs, then collect the doggy doo and cherish it .
Just about as bad as our cremation ritual where sometimes the ashes of a loved one get flushed
down a toilet . Hay it's a cheap burial at sea !
Or sucked up in a vacuum cleaner with all the other carpet trash that's been tracked in .
Don't forget the carpet shampooer, along with all those nasty stains left over from the dog that
your trying to potty train ! At least those Africans cut through the middle man .

Sorry Oldshooter, no big Macs in India, but you can get a McChicken sammich. Maybe the reason for no beef is for fear they would be eating one of their reincarnated friends. Can't figure the chicken though because the Hindu believe is everyone goes through a series physical births, deaths, and rebirths. They can be born into any body, including animals, maybe birds isn't one of them. The body they get is based on good Karma or bad Karma. If you have bad Karma, I guess that is when you are born into a cow, pig, sheep, etc.. 

I met this man through a company that does business with the company I work for and he is a Hindu that came from India. My friend that hosts our mens Bible study works with him from time to time, and he says that the Hindu
worships different statues, and different Gods. We bought him a Bible, but I doubt that he has any interest in reading it. One thing I have noticed is that he is a really good, and nice guy, but then, hell will be stacked to the ceiling with nice guys.

I have never met an"Indian" that wasnt a nice person, most have been doctors and engineers though. But you are correct about nice guys in hell for sure.

Still wondering why the UN spent our money counting toilets in India. I also find it interesting that a country that seems to be making giant leaps in technology is floundering in bad infrastructure. if toilets are even considered infrastructure.

LOL , I was a little dramatic wasnt I ? I once had a cousin that was subjected to this heat pulverizing
and it was very strange to hold what was left of her in the palms of my hands .
Mailed to me in a cheap black plastic box. With her remains in something that looked like a freezer
bag as per USPO regulations on shipping dead people ! 
It really was a blunt way to get closure ! A lifetime of memory's and love stuffed in a rural mail box where the funeral parlor didn't even have the common decency to send it registered mail .
People are worth more than something I bought from JC Whitney .
And before anyone says it sure the deceased no longer care , its those who they left behind that
do . That's like wanting a cheap burial so they just throw your deceased on your front doorstep
in a body bag . Or some used shipping box that was once used for someone's chevy short block !
I might add that the plastic box also had her SS number printed on it .
How very thoughtful of them I guess they didn't want them to get mixed up .

I have no doubt that the Good Lord is more than capable of rejoining whatever/wherever my bones are for that day of resurrection.
In medieval times, there were those that choose to be cremated as a final statement that they didn't want to have any bones for God to resurrect. This lead to centuries of European bias against cremation as non-Christian.
