Wolves eating OUR beavers

Lee,the areas I trap in northern mn. is full of wolves,they don't seem to have any affect on our beaver at all.Either Wisconsin beaver are really dumb or your wolves are really smart.lol
As far as being able to take a wolf in your lifetime,don't hold your breath.As you know we have way more wolves than any other state but Alaska.I never expect we will ever be able to take any.The wolf is the "golden calf" of every yuppie on earth.It is worshipped by them and because of this,there will never be a season on them.  Tom

Its not only wolves that get after the beaver.  I once did a study on the stomach contents of coyotes trapped in the Summer months during the bounty era.  Baby beaver and muskrat were the dominant stomach contents found when there was water anywhere near by.  Out of about 100 coyotes analyzed, 37 had eaten beaver or muskrat in the past few hours.  Ace
