Remington XP100?
« on: February 01, 2013, 01:53:06 PM »
Tell me the down side of attaching a Harris bi pod adapter to a Remington XP100 plastic stock? I'm aware it may cause the fore arm to touch the barrel but, is this stock thick enough to do this without damaging it? I plan on having a profesional stock maker(gunsmith) do this for me, locally.
Has anyone here had this done before?

My dad has a Harris bi-pod on his black plastic stocked XP-100 single-shot in 7mm BR Remington and it literally is a one-hole grouper and is the most accurate firearm I have ever shot.  And I have mostly shot it using the bi-pod.  My dad hasn't ever had a problem.  That's the only gun he still shoots due to medical reasons, but if there were an issue, I'd think he's shot his enough to have it become manifest by now.
