I haven't personally but know some folks who I used to hunt with that did. Made their first exotic hunt there and seemed to enjoy themselves. But from their description of what happened and how it happened and based on my experiences with exotics I'd say it wasn't that much of a challenge. I got the distinct impression the guides were pushing game to hunters placed in blinds. They apparently have different areas for standard priced game and a different area for higher priced ones of same species.

Comments on lodge and food was very favorable.

Dat's all I know.

I have been to Chesnut on two trips.  One was my first out of state hunting trip when I was 17 and the other was taken on a whim.  We decided one night to go shoot a hog so we left the next morning headed to Chesnut.

The trophy quality isn't that good and the game was pushed two the hunters as GB said.  It was expensive for the size of animals we took.  Also, there isn't that many critters of each species there to choose from.  I have been to Texas on many hunting trips and I always seem to get better animals and it seems to cost less.  Also, there is always more animals to choose from.

The lodge was very nice but they didn't feed us on either trip, we had to feed ourselves.
