The market is always what it will bear. It won't stand on a moderated price from a third party. The market will go somewhere else. Every deal takes a buyer and a seller. I could go into supply and demand but is it really needed. Don't want to buy used go to the factory. Don't want to deal with the factory then buy used. Think you got cheated, should have done your home work before jumping in. Every market is let the buyer beware. Thus ends Econ 101a.

good thing you aren't Canadian.

I was quoted $150 for barrel, $300 import fee, $shipping both ways, $80 fitting fee...

so for me to get a factory barrel fitted, $580.00 + $58 taxes...  = $638.00

I just bought TWO 35Whelen COMPLETE RIFLES for $645.49 TMD

I just had two barrels factory fitted, a 30-30 and a 357 talo and total bill was   $276.66 with sales tax and another 10.90 for my shipping to the factory
7mm-08,  223, 30-30, 30-30 ai, 357 mag, 357 max TALO, 20 gauge, 50 cal huntsman, 22 mag, 20 gauge smoothbore slug, 30-06-03 target, 20 gauge full,  NRA LIFE MEMBER,

How did you get a Talo?  They are not listed on the barrel accessory page.

Also, I believe alot of folks here at GBO are concerned about their personal reputation and do not want to be one of those gougers. For the most part you will find an overly helpful group of folks who want to make sure you enjoy firearms.

Always do your homework and do your best to communicate what it is you are looking for or wanting.
