For those who want to tumble lube bullets of any caliber, use my Commercial lube.
Real hard bullets are not best for tumble lubing, because we can't get enough lube on to create hydrolic pressured lubrication, so velocities will be limited to something quite a bit below what full lube grooves eill deliver.
To tumble lube with LBT Commercial lube. Us and aluminum cake tin, they type with rounded corders being best. Put a loose layer in the bottom, allowing enough space so you can shake the pan side to side gently and roll the bullets around. Heat them in a kitchen oven to a little over 200 degrees, then touch the stick of lube on the bullets or bottom of the pan. The first batch will require enough lube to coat the ban bottom and bullets. Following batchs, just enough lube to lightly wet the bullets.. More than a wet surface is a waste and a mess. One stick will do about 10.000 38's.
For your 22. you can get along without gas checks for speeds to probably 1400 fps. If you use gas checks you'll have to size to crimp them onl.
