Armscorp M14 semiauto value
« on: January 09, 2013, 06:28:58 PM »
I was wondering what an Armscorp M14 semi auto 7.62mm would be worth, if anybody has a clue. Serial number is A000031XX which should mean it has a billet receiver although I wouldn't have a clue how to verify that. The rifle has all H-R military parts. The barrel is chrome lined from an M14, H-R marked 9-61 and is in pristine condition. The receiver is marked Armscorp of America Silver Springs Md. The rifle shoots ball ammo at about 1 1/4" all day if you can and maybe better if yer eyes are younger than mine. Fiberglas stock painted black. Sights are normal M14 sights and are marked HRA. It is preban and has the lug on the front with the flash hider. It's been a great rifle but I haven't shot the thing in decades and probably have only shot as much as 200 rounds thru it, probably less. I'm thinking I bought this thing new in 1986 but that may be off a year or so. Frankly, I just don't have any use for it so I'm considering selling it but have NO clue what the value is today. From what I've read on the internet, this rifle is as good as an M1a style rifle gets. Anybody familiar with this particular rifle and have a clue what they're selling for?

As with all things it just depends on what a buyer and seller can agree on as you can tell from the link.

At the last gun shows I went to , before the new crisis , used SA guns similar to your's were going for about $1500.00 . You might get an extra $100.00 for your's maybe a tad more. Today it would not suprise me if it did not go up a couple hundred more like tha AR's have. People can buy new SA guns for as low as $1200.00 with the funky stock and rubber pad to over 3 grand . Thing is most are made from new parts not surplus military parts ( note not just mil spec but parts aquired from military suplus sales.) . I know of a middle 80's SA gun with a NM bbl. NM sights and all TRW parts and it is worth more than todays guns they say. When it was sold new it was just a plain shooter and the parts used were just what was aval. Your gun seems to have several parts no longer aval. of if so at very high prices. Ask a couple grand or a bit more as you can come down but it's hard to go up .
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

Well, it didn't last long. I called my bud at the local gunshop and asked him about it. He said bring it by around lunch as another bud of his that shoots these kinds of weapons in competition would be coming by. I met the man and when he heard the name Armscorp, he got REAL serious. Apparently he knows all about them as he was telling me about the rifle as he was looking at it. He asked what I was going to do with it and I told him- sell it. He made me an $1800.00 dollar offer. He's now the proud owner of an Armscorp M14 match rifle and I have an 1800 dollar credit at the gunshop. The guy even paid for the consignment fees. Just love it when a plan comes together. Now if the gunshop can just find me a almost new Remington 700 in 221 Fireball........
