BC receiver question
« on: November 29, 2012, 07:54:29 AM »
I have not been able to find out what receiver is used on the Buffalo Classic. SB-1 or SB-2? Considering the stout loads sometimes used I should think it would be the SB-2. This may seem like a silly question but for safeties sake I am not willing to take anything for granted, and the H&R site lists it as "CR-1871" not by receiver type.

All BCs are SB2 frames unless someone pulled a fast one and stuck a BC barrel on a SB1 shotgun frame.
If it is a factory gun then it is an SB2 and safe for all calibers offered in a Handi rifle.

What LT said, the BC frame is identical to an SB2 Handi frame, but with faux case coloring instead of bluing.

thx guys. I have been drooling over the BC for some time but have had no luck in finding definitive proof of SB-2 receiver. Looking forward to income tax return now.  Just too Kool not to have.   ;D
