I can't say about chonograph results, but I can tell you, I had one for a while. The rifle shot very well, using PMC ammo. Recoil was hardly noticable. It was a very nice rifle. The only reason I sold it was because it actually was to small for me and didn't feel right carrying it. The friend I sold it shot a nice buck last year. The shorter barrel didn't bother that deer any 8)

As the proud new owner of a 20-year-old-and-barely-used Ruger in .257 Roberts, I hope you're right!

Have dies and 75g V-MAx bullets on the way, and my first loads will be for varmints.

Saw the Barnes load data today and have to say I was impressed with the velocities they were getting for their 115g bullets -- I think 2975fps was the top.

The Hornady 117 BT is a good bullet.I and several friends use this inthe Roberts and it has dropped them in their tracks. The Speer # 10 has good data for IMR 4831.
