I've got 4 pet free ranging chickens and coyotes moving into an old den across the road.  I figured I'd better make sure the shortie maxi was sighted in.  It was just at tad off at 75 yard which is what I expect to shoot.  This evening is predator calling time.  The red dot is gone, the Maxi now wears a 3-9x40 Bushnell Banner.

For those thinking of reaming to Maxi, do it.  This rifle, cut to 16.5 inches, is deadly accurate with .38s, mags and maxies.  The POI is different for each, but you can figure out what adjustment you need to make for each change and just change it back when you're done.  It really is simple.  A lot of times, if I want to play with the .38s shooting jugs, etc. I don't even bother.  I just Kentucky windage it.
