Test fire at the factory?
« on: May 07, 2012, 08:20:38 AM »
Quick question folks,
I was at my gun store today looking at a Handi in .30-06 and was looking down the barrel.  It appeared that it had been fired previously but was being sold as a new rifle.  I was just wondering if the factory sends one down the pipe before they leave the factory?

Thanks

Absolutely. Far as I know every new firearm manufactured is proof tested before leaving the factory with a load that is higher pressure than a SAAMI spec load.

Yup, all firearms are test fired before leaving the factory including all accessory barrels.
