Drilling Stock Removal tip
« on: August 31, 2011, 04:45:13 PM »
I recently had the stock and forend redone on a 1932 JP Sauer.  Th action is a Blitz type.  After removing the 3 screws on the underside of the receiver, we had a devil of a tine removing the action.  That is until we learned that for the Blitz action the receiver must be cocked.

After cocking the gun the receiver easily came apart in two pieces.  And the stock was easily removed

I am planning on posting pictures tomorrow of the gun.

Doug,

I know this is an old post but I was wondering if you ever posted the pictures of the gun after it was refinished?

Did you have someone local do the work?
