I guess I need to go to half.com and buy some more books.  The only one I knew about was handgun hunting by Mark Hampton.  Thanks for the other titles :D

 Deaf

That is a very impressive list. As a long time "long range" pistol hunter I should make an effort to add to my library.

I was "sucked" into hunting with a pistol many years ago when my antelope hunting  buddy put our party into a pistol only area in Wyoming. Having hunted with a rifle that first adventure with a 14" T/C 30-30 and a two power Pentax scope was an eye opener. I did bag my longest horned Pronghorn on that very hunt, a 15" fellow that took me a couple days to put a move on.

Maybe the title of my book would be "PISTOLS AND PRONGHORN"

Many adventures over the years seeking those "high plains drifters" with an array of pistolas.

I guess I can take this to mean that my Handgun Hunting Library is complete? Is there really on six books in exsinstance on the subject of handgun Hunting? And one of them so old that it is home published!  Next came I beleave was the Nonte & Jurras Book. After that It was either Larry Kelley & J. D. Jones or Phil Johnston's book Then Mark Hamptons (book) and last Clair Rees effort. The magazines are mostly from the 80's and early 90's. but nothing that I know of recently in magazine publishing. It seems Cowboy Shooting is more popular these days, there are at least two magazines dedicated to it. Of course there is JD Jones own publication The Sixgunner" which I subscribed to for many years (if you look in 92 0r 93 you will see the story on my forst and second boar shoots at Black Boar Lodge in PA). I gave up the newspaper when subscription and membership rates went to $35 or so a year. a bit much to my thinking. I may yet rejoin if prices have become reasonable again. I have to check.
Well the good thing the majority of the bookds above are still avaiable with the exception of Al Goreings book which is somewhat rare and collectable he was one of the first handgun hunters who did it for real(no disrespect to Elmer Keith but his handgun hunting was for the most part the hunt of opertunity being that he went armed 24/7 and came upon game a lot more than most men due mainly to his work of guiding and running a pack train and later ranching.) Al on the other hand was one of the first who actually enjoyed hunting with nothing but a handgun and did so to the exclusion of most anything else.  He designed and built handguns just to hunt with. (one effert got him in deep with atf but he straightened that little fisaco out) If you are a handgun hunter you should fins a copy of his book if you can its a really great insight to the beginnings of our sport.

I own the Nonte & Jurras, Kelly & Jones and Hamptons book.  What do you think of the Rees book?  Is is worth it?  I've been looking for a copy of Milek's for a while.  I thought they were a books maybe that's why I haven't had any luck locating one.

I also own a few video's on Handgun Hunting.  3 by Kisan; Little Guns, Elk ;& Mule Deer; Little guns, Whitetail, and Exotics and Little Guns's & Exploring the Equipment.   I also have Handgunning Africa, and Handgun Hunting with Hal Swiggett.  Any one have any others?

Did HHI go up?    Last few years I paid it's been $25 a year.
