Not trying to offend any one here but to anwser this ? "which hammer extension are you all using and how much are you cutting off the hammer? I installed a tasco scope on the 357 barrel and looks like i will have to trim about .25 inches off to clear. the extension i have is terrible! the angle is wrong, doesnt fit right and is sharp on the finger. thinking of trying the round one from uncle mikes. any help?" I use the factory trigger extention and the 1/4" removal bob is pretty standard all ya need to remove is just enough to get the clearance. Not sure what extention you have that's bad angle and sharp but the H&R ones work ok for me. Kurt

Mornin,
I use the Uncle Mike jobber.... But you don't trim off that much maybe .125. Install ext, trim off what sticks out, polish a bit and cold blue, then oil.
Hopefully it will be enough...

Sounds like you have the flat one. They are sharp edged, and lighter than the round ones. I prefer the round one by GROVTEC. Made in USA, better set screw. But others get fancier. Look in the FAQs for plenty of info on better hammer extensions.
