I think someone may be upset if they think it will fit their Handi.

I saw that one too and was wondering the same thing

Aside from the hi price it was bid up to ( I had a hand in that too!)

what am I missing?  Why do you think there will be a problem?

I don't think everyone out there with a handi knows the difference between sb1, sb2, and rimfire frames.  The sellers may not even know the difference. The description in the auction says handi-rifle and no where does it say anything about a rimfire frame.  I wonder how many people are buying these barrels on ebay and putting rifle barrels on shotgun frames.
My biggest fear in life is dying and my wife selling my guns for what I told her I paid for them.

In our minds OF COARSE its for a RF/SSI frame. ;) ::)

I wondered the same thing. Also wondered how many people think these are like the t/c's and the barrels will fit on their old frame with no mods. I know sometimes you get lucky but think about all the mad people when they spend $200+ on a barrel and it doesnt fit ;D

Handi is the SB2, rimfire are Sportster, Versa is the offset 22lr and SB1 are Topper or Pardner.
That is the way I seperate them, many people just lump them all as Handi, I know. I can see some poor soul not knowing the difference and trying the sportster barrel on the SB2 or SB1 after throwing down close to $200 for it.

Then again, I have heard there are some 17 versa barrels but I have never seen one myself.

It's true, one of the guys here sold his 17Cal VP barrel to another member at a really decent price.
There's a photo of it somewhere.

My quandary, I personally, don't think I have enough Handi's but, I know I have more Handi's than I really need or should have.

I wonder if any of those high bidders are anti-gun shills, just making sure to keep those evil barrels out of our hands, LOL!

Also, does this mean Paypal, who is owned by ebay, will now allow payment for certain firearms items?

Paypal hasn't changed their policy.

Tim

What is PayPal’s policy on transactions that involve firearms?

Quote
We don’t allow PayPal members to buy or sell any kind of firearm, whether it’s in working order or not. The same goes for certain firearm parts and ammunition.

For example, using PayPal, you can’t buy or sell:

Any firearm, including rifles, shotguns, and handguns, whether they’re for sport and recreation, collectibles, or curio or relic firearms.

Firearm parts, including but not limited to receivers and frames, silencers, and kits designed to modify guns so that they fire automatically. High capacity magazines, multi-burst trigger activators, and camouflaging firearm containers are other items in this category.

Ammunition, including propellants like gunpowder or blank ammunition; ammunition or cartridge cases; and primers, bullets, or propellant powder designed for any firearm.

Stun gun sales are allowed for U.S. residents, but only if the transaction is permitted by law in both the buyer's and seller's jurisdictions. (PayPal account holders outside the U.S. can’t buy or sell stun guns.) Before they complete a sale, U.S. sellers must make sure that the transaction is legal in both locations.

Related items that you can buy and sell using PayPal include paintball guns, blank guns, and air-soft guns, as long as such transactions are legal in the applicable jurisdiction. All of these items must display the markings required by law, must not be convertible to shoot a lethal projectile, and can’t include blank ammunition.

Well, I couldn't resist, I put my 22 hornet out there and it's at $167.50 with a day left.    Since I bought this in a package deal, at this point, I have a $132.50 .223 Handi with 6-24x50 tasco scope!  :o

Hmmm, I'm about to put my 7.62x39 barrel on there. Wonder what it will fetch?  :o
