Aside from the hi price it was bid up to ( I had a hand in that too!)

what am I missing?  Why do you think there will be a problem?

I don't think everyone out there with a handi knows the difference between sb1, sb2, and rimfire frames.  The sellers may not even know the difference. The description in the auction says handi-rifle and no where does it say anything about a rimfire frame.  I wonder how many people are buying these barrels on ebay and putting rifle barrels on shotgun frames.

I wondered the same thing. Also wondered how many people think these are like the t/c's and the barrels will fit on their old frame with no mods. I know sometimes you get lucky but think about all the mad people when they spend $200+ on a barrel and it doesnt fit

 Handi is the SB2, rimfire are Sportster, Versa is the offset 22lr and SB1 are Topper or Pardner.
That is the way I seperate them, many people just lump them all as Handi, I know. I can see some poor soul not knowing the difference and trying the sportster barrel on the SB2 or SB1 after throwing down close to $200 for it.
 
Then again, I have heard there are some 17 versa barrels but I have never seen one myself.

Well, I couldn't resist, I put my 22 hornet out there and it's at $167.50 with a day left.    Since I bought this in a package deal, at this point, I have a $132.50 .223 Handi with 6-24x50 tasco scope!
