I just finished working up a load, and loading 65 rounds, using Data from Hornady's web site. My wife inherited her dads old well worn, but very accurate 336 30/30, and I had put on a 4x leupold, with leupold bases and rings. Gun will shoot an honest inch @100 for 3 shots with Federal factory ammo. I liked all the ballistic print on these bullets, and I am impressed with the trajectory and accuracy so far. The gun printed 3 shot groups in a horizontal line, with just a tad of paper between all 3 shots, again right at an inch! The 40 yard group was 2 inches low, but a little high at 100 and dead on at 175. Most of our shots here in KY for deer will be 150 and under, where we mainly hunt. Wife and I are heading to Maine in Sept. for our first ever Bear hunt, and most shots will be 50 yds and closer to 30. I beleive the FTX will fill the bill. They also shot great out of my H&R handi rifle, my truck and four wheeler knock around gun. Just wondering if any of you guys were using these bullets.
