I recently acquired a Stevens model 39A .410 tube fed bolt action shotgun and need info about it.
I can find no serial number on it anywhere though I haven't removed the action from the stock.
Question 1: When was it made?
Question 2: Can it be rebored and rifled to say a .45LC or something similar?
The only writing on it says J.Stevens Arms Co, Chicopee Falls Mass USA, 410 Bore Proof Tested. 21/2 and 3 inch shells
