So, I have been asked to NOT shoot my favorite 30-30 loads, from the shorties, at the local indoor range any more. Apparently the resulting ball of fire, which I find exhilarating, strikes fear in those on either side of me

There is no question that H335 is extremely inefficient under a 125gr bullet, from a 16.5" bbl; but that load shoots GOOD in every rifle that I own. It is my go to!
Varget is more efficient, as evidenced by far less powder still burning after the bullet has left the bbl, but has not proved as accurate. (still plenty accurate for hunting)
I am curious if anyone would mind sharing a pet load for their shorty 30-30 with 125gr bullets, that produces good velocity and accuracy, without the massive fire ball effect.
Thanks,
Steve
